Experiential Therapy

Experiential Therapy can help you break free from emotional blocks and self-defeating patterns by getting to the root of what’s holding you back.

Maybe you’re noticing:

  • In Yourself: You’re stuck in overthinking, self-doubt, or harsh self-criticism, and no matter how much you try to "logic" your way out, the same struggles keep showing up.

  • In Your Relationships: You hold back your true thoughts, needs, or feelings—worried about being too much, not enough, or upsetting others. You crave deeper connection but feel distant or misunderstood.

  • In Your Emotions: Anxiety, guilt, or irritability seem to surface out of nowhere, or you feel emotionally numb—like something is weighing on you, but you can’t quite name it.

  • In Your Patterns: You keep ending up in the same frustrating cycles, whether it’s procrastination, people-pleasing, self-sabotage, or avoiding the things that matter most.

Experiential therapy is different from traditional talk therapy because it is not just about talking. It is about feeling and experiencing what is really happening inside you. Many people understand their struggles intellectually. You might think, "I know I shouldn’t be so hard on myself," yet still find yourself stuck in the same patterns. Insight is important, but by itself it does not always create lasting change. Experiential therapy helps close the gap between what you know and what you genuinely feel.

During our sessions, we pay attention not only to your thoughts and words but also to what is happening in your body. Your emotions, physical sensations, and natural impulses often reveal important information about what is fueling your anxiety, depression, self criticism, or relationship struggles. By slowing down and safely exploring these experiences as they happen, you can process emotions that may have been pushed aside for years, develop a deeper connection with yourself, and begin responding to life in healthier, more authentic ways.

Think of it like learning to ride a bike. You can read about balance all day, but real learning happens when you actually get on the bike. In the same way, lasting emotional change comes from experiencing something new, not just understanding it. Experiential therapy gives you the opportunity to practice new ways of relating to yourself and others so those changes become part of your everyday life.

What we’ll work on

Therapy can help you:

  • Recognizing and shifting self-criticism and self-doubt

  • Understanding and processing difficult emotions instead of avoiding them

  • Breaking free from anxiety, depression, and overwhelm

  • Strengthening your ability to express needs, wants, and boundaries

  • Identifying and changing patterns that keep you stuck

  • Building emotional resilience and confidence in yourself

  • Working through fears of failure, rejection, or disappointing others

  • Facing and accepting uncomfortable truths with support and compassion

  • Developing a deeper, more authentic connection with yourself and others

Change is possible, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

I’M HERE TO HELP you discover that.
